Do you need a connection to Chalmers to be a part of Stena Center?

No, you don't need a Chalmers connection. However, according to our statutes, we are here for startups with a technological innovation foundation.

Are pets allowed at Stena Center?

No, it is not allowed. We have the same policy as Chalmers, which prohibits animals in our premises.

Is there a maximum rental period?

No, currently, we do not have a maximum rental period. However, our mission is to support early-stage startup companies and create conditions for their growth. If a company has progressed beyond this stage, we expect them to contribute to our environment in some way, perhaps by mentoring newcomers or conducting workshops, etc.

Is a deposit required?

No, a deposit is not required.

Do you have drop-in spots?

Yes, we do. A spot costs 2,000 SEK per month, and it includes a mailing address, access to our premises, and the possibility to use our conference rooms for up to 4 hours per month. See the website for details.

Do you have to be a startup?

No, but startups are our primary focus. If you have a more established company, you can still use Stena Center, but we expect you to actively contribute to our environment and provide support to early-stage companies, perhaps through mentoring or sharing your knowledge in various ways.

What is included when renting from you?

If you rent an office with us, everything is included – furniture, cleaning, coffee/tea, IT, social activities, access to conference rooms, etc. Check the website for details.

What is the notice period?

If you rent an office, the notice period is 3 months. If you rent a drop-in spot, the notice period is 1 month."
